Student dies in Finland high school stabbing
Helsinki, Oct 24: A stabbing incident in a high school in Finland's northern town of Utsjoki around noon Friday left one male student dead, media reported.
The stabbing occurred during school hours, the report said, with police receiving an alert about the incident around 12 noon, Xinhua reported citing Finnish News Agency STT .
Police said that one suspect has been taken into custody and students at the high school have been evacuated.
The victim was seriously injured after being stabbed and died on the way to hospital aboard a helicopter.
According to STT, the male suspect, less than 30 years old, was an adult student in the school.
Police said that there is currently no danger posed to anyone in and outside the school.
A probe by police into the incident is under way.
