Strong earthquake hits Greek islands, 2 dead
Reports suggest widespread damage after the severe earthquake.
At least two persons have died after a 6.7 magnitude hit the Greek islands and the Turkish coast. The US Geological Survey recorded a 6.7 magnitude quake off the south west coast close to the resort town of Bodrum and the Greek Island of Kos.

Two people were killed on Kos, George Kyritsis, the mayor of the island said.
Several others were injured on Kos, he also said. A small tsunami was reported on the Turkish coast. Pictures on social media showed people walking with water lapping their ankles.
Reports suggest widespread damage after the severe earthquake. The epicentre of the quake was approximately 10.3km south of the major Turkish resort of Bodrum, a magnet for holidaymakers in the summer, and 16.2km east of the island of Kos in Greece, the US Geological Survey said. Turkish towns near the epicentre of the shock are reporting broken water mains, gas leaks and downed electricity lines.
