South Korea: Plane Carrying 176 Passengers Catches Fire, Video From Gimhae International Airport Goes Viral
A passenger plane carrying 176 individuals caught fire at Gimhae International Airport in Busan, South Korea, on Tuesday night. The fire occurred just before the aircraft was set to take off. Fortunately, all passengers and crew were evacuated safely, as per local reports.
The Air Busan flight was headed for Hong Kong when the incident took place. According to Yonhap News Agency, the fire started in the tail section of the plane. The 169 passengers and seven crew members were evacuated swiftly using an inflatable slide. Three people sustained minor injuries but their conditions are not serious.

Ongoing Investigations into Fire Incident
Authorities have not yet provided any information regarding the cause of the fire. Attempts to reach fire officials in Busan for comments were unsuccessful at the time of reporting. Investigations are ongoing to determine what led to this incident.

Previous Aviation Accident Raises Concerns
This incident follows a tragic accident at Muan International Airport in December. A Jeju Air Boeing 737-800 crashed after its landing gear failed to deploy, resulting in a runway skid. The crash claimed 179 lives out of 181 onboard as the aircraft burst into flames upon hitting a concrete structure.
