Singapore to honour PM Modi, to name an orchid after him
Singapore, Nov 10: Bihar assembly elections 2015 results is being seen as setback for Prime Minister Narendra Modi but his popularity in foreign countries has not dipped due to this defeat.
Singapore government has decided to name an orchid after PM Modi to honour him during his visit on November 23-24. PM Modi is set to visit Singapore to sign a strategic partnership document between the two countries, reported the Times of India.
India's first female prime minister Indira Gandhi and Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan have orchids named after them in Singapore.
Two former prime ministers Manmohan Singh and Atal Bihari Vajpayee had refused to accept the offer in past.
He will also deliver the prestigious Singapore lecture. The lecture, at the Shangri La hotel will be attended by world leaders and the who's who from India's second-largest FDI investor. They will include politicians, diplomats, industry leaders, people from academia and Singapore community leaders.

visit.
PM
Modi
will
also
address
Indians
in

at

event
