Shocking: Imran Khan gave ‘divorce’ as a wedding anniversary gift, reveals ex-wife
In a shocking disclosure, Imran Khan's ex-wife Reham said the cricketer-turned-politician gave her divorce as a wedding anniversary gift last year.
Islamabad, Nov 1: We don't know what to say about this. But if any man decides to give "divorce" as a wedding anniversary gift to his wife, then it definitely sets a bad example for the entire institution of marriage.
And, if the man happens to be Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, then the piece of news is simply shocking.
According to reports, the chief of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) divorced his ex-wife Reham when she asked for a wedding anniversary gift last year.
This is what Reham herself has claimed.
Reham, while speaking to Pakistan's Geo news, said she had jokingly mentioned on October 31 last year that she wanted a present ahead of the couple's wedding anniversary.
"He divorced me instead," she revealed.
Taking a swipe at the Pakistan Tahreek-i-Insaf lader, Reham said, "Let's pray he doesn't do something like this with Pakistan."
In fact on Sunday, the 64-year-old politician had reiterated his resolve to shut down Islamabad on November 2. Khan has asked all party workers throughout the country to reach his residence ahead of the planned lockdown of the capital at any cost.
The cricketer-politician was married to TV journalist Reham for 10 months, before it ended in divorce last year.
In fact, Reham was Khan's second wife. Earlier he was married to English heiress Jemima Goldsmith for nine years. They have two sons from their marriage.
