Bangladesh Crisis News: It has been reported by media sources that Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned and left the country on Monday, amid ongoing violence which has resulted in more fatalities, marking some of the worst unrest since the nation's inception over five decades ago.
Before protesters attempted to seize Sheikh Hasina's official residence, the prime minister's son called on the nation's security forces to prevent any takeover of her 15-year rule, as reported by Al Jazeera

"Your responsibility is to ensure the safety of our people and our country and to uphold the constitution," Sajeeb Wazed Joy, who resides in the United States, stated in a Facebook post.
"This means you must not allow any unelected government to assume power, even for a moment. It is your duty."

Media reports indicate that Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has resigned and departed the country, heading to Agartala, India. The resignation follows severe unrest, with significant violence reported, some of the worst since the country's independence over fifty years ago. Despite these reports, official confirmation of Hasina's departure remains pending.
She reportedly left Dhaka via helicopter with her sister. The resignation comes amid massive protests against a contentious quota system. Meanwhile, the army chief is expected to address the nation soon, and the government has temporarily lifted the internet shutdown imposed during the unrest.
