Serbian president's plane took a plunge because co-pilot spilled coffee!
Belgrade, April 21: The plane in which Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic was travelling last week took a sudden plunge, causing a panic among the passengers.
Investigation into the plane's plunge later showed that its co-pilot had spilled coffee on the instruments panel and accidentally activated the emergency slot extension while trying to clean the coffee. This reportedly saw the plane diving and a brief closing down of one of the engines.

The captain then stabilised the plane and ensured that the president's flight returned safely to Belgrade. President Nikolic was heading to the Vatican for an official visit but it was cancelled. Initially, the president's media sources said the plane made an emergency return because of an engine failure.
Serbia's aviation authorities said the co-pilot was suspended.
