Second shootout at Virginia State University in less than a week

Last week a man was shot during homecoming weekend.

Virginia State University is on lockdown after a reported shooting on Friday.

It is the second time in less than a week someone has been shot on that campus.

"Shooting on campus - go/stay indoors. Avoid area. Police on scene. Campus on lock down," the official handle of the Virginia State University said in a tweet

Last week a man was shot during homecoming weekend.

Police are on the scene searching for the suspect.
