Safe as chocolate, Samsung hands out Galaxy Note 8 to 200 passengers free of cost

One year back, passengers were told that they could not fly with the Galaxy Note 7 as it was probe to fire owing to battery issues. In a bid to erase that memory and change their image, Samsung is handing out the 1000 dollar Galaxy Note 8 free of cost to passengers.

The tag line is that the new phone is as safe as a chocolate bar on flights. Does this sound true? Yes, the company handed out 200 Galaxy Note 8 phones free of cost to its passengers on a flight to Spain.

The passengers had no idea that they were getting a free phone. The free Note 8 were distributed on a flight operated by Iberia between Madrid to A Coruna.
