All 62 people aboard a plane were killed in a crash near São Paulo, Brazil. The regional turboprop aircraft, heading towards São Paulo, went down in a residential area near Vinhedo on Friday.

Social media footage captured the ATR aircraft spiraling out of control before plummeting into a cluster of trees near homes, with a massive plume of black smoke rising from the impact site.

16 Sept 2023 - Amazonas State Plane Crash: Fourteen people were killed on when a plane crashed in the Brazilian Amazon in the northern town of Barcelos, a popular tourist spot. Brazilian media reports said there were no survivors of the crash. Amazonas state Governor Wilson Lima said the plane was an 18-passenger EMB-110, a twin-engine turboprop manufactured by Brazilian aircraft maker Embraer.

August 22, 2021 - Belem Plane Crash: A Cessna 208B Grand Caravan crashed while attempting an emergency landing near Belem, Pará. The crash resulted in the deaths of the two pilots and one passenger.

February 25, 2019 - Sao Paulo Helicopter Crash: A helicopter crash in Sao Paulo resulted in the deaths of the pilot and a passenger. The crash occurred in a residential area, causing significant property damage.

On July 17, 2007 the plane missed the runway at São Paulo and crashed into a TAM Express building and a Shell gas station, killing all 187 people on board plus 12 people on the ground. It is the Brazil's deadliest aviation accident in history.
