Ryo Tatsuki’s Earthquake Warning: The New Baba Vanga Whose Predictions Are Shaking the World
Ryo Tatsuki, a manga artist known for her eerie predictions, has recently grabbed global attention once again. Often dubbed as Japan's 'New Baba Vanga' due to her surprising accuracy, Tatsuki has made headlines for forecasting major events, some of which have reportedly come true. Her latest prophecy, however, has stirred widespread concern, warning of a catastrophic disaster expected in July 2025.

Tatsuki foresees a massive undersea fault line rupture between Japan and the Philippines, potentially triggering tsunamis far larger than those caused by the devastating 2011 Tohoku earthquake. She also describes the surrounding oceans as "boiling," with the disaster's epicenter spanning a vast diamond-shaped region connecting Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan, and the Northern Mariana Islands-an area known for intense geological activity.
This chilling forecast has already impacted tourism in Japan. Travel agencies, especially in Hong Kong, report a sharp drop in bookings, with some noting declines of up to 50% during recent holiday seasons. Fears have been further amplified by warnings from the Chinese embassy in Tokyo, urging its nationals to remain vigilant and prepared for potential natural disasters.
Who is Ryo Tatsuki?
Tatsuki first came into the public eye in 1999 with her book The Future I Saw, a compilation of visions that sparked debate due to their uncanny accuracy. Initially overlooked, the book gained notoriety after several predictions reportedly came true, including major disasters such as the 1995 Kobe earthquake and the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami-which caused the Fukushima nuclear crisis and claimed over 18,000 lives. Remarkably, these events occurred in the exact months and years specified in her book.
Her reputation as a modern-day prophet was further bolstered by her prediction of the death of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, earning her a devoted following both in Japan and internationally. This unsettling accuracy has drawn comparisons to the famed Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga.
In a revised edition of her book published in 2021, Tatsuki issued a dramatic warning about an underwater disaster expected in July 2025: "The sea boils south of Japan in July 2025 and it will cause a mega tsunami." She described a powerful undersea rupture forming between Japan and the Philippines, capable of generating waves three times the size of those from the 2011 tsunami. The "boiling" sea suggests an underwater volcanic eruption or significant seismic activity.
With a history of accurately anticipating major events, Tatsuki's latest warning has prompted many to reconsider their travel plans and raised serious questions about what the future holds for the region.
