Ryanair Airline Trolls UK PM Rishi Sunak As He Concedes Defeat In UK Polls

Ryanair, a low-cost airline, has hit headlines for trolling UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak with a viral post on social media platform X, with the caption "Don't worry, Rishi Sunak, Ryanair's got a seat for you.".

The airline humorously offered Sunak a seat, hinting at his Conservative Party's poor performance in the UK parliamentary elections.

Keir Starmer is poised to be Britain's next prime minister as his Labour Party is on track to win a large majority in the election. Labour has already taken more than 326 of the 650 seats, while the Conservative Party, led by Sunak, has only won 70.

Sunak fought 14 years of anti-incumbency while being grilled about the cost-of-living crisis when he entered the election. The Conservative Party also entered the election after years of instability and in-fighting which has witnessed five different prime ministers since the Brexit vote of 2016, news agency Reuters reported.

Rishi Sunak may have lost his seat in parliament, but low-cost airline Ryanair's got a seat for him on their flight.

Ryanair recently took a jab at outgoing British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in a viral post which has garnered over 2.6 million views and thousands of amusing reactions.

"First genuinely funny ad I've seen in ages," wrote one person in the comments section.

"He's not even got a window seat," another joked.

Sunak surprised Westminster and his own party by calling an early election in May, despite the Conservatives trailing Labour by about 20 points in the polls. He hoped to close the gap, like the past British elections, but his campaign was notably poor. The campaign's low point came on the final day when Sunak appeared on ITV's this morning. He was photographed waiting for his turn behind Britain's most tattooed woman.
