Rocket attack at Afghan Parliament, no casualties reported

Kabul, March 28: A huge explosion took place on Monday near the Afghan parliament building, a media report said.

Media reports suggest that four rockets fired towards new parliament building.The Parliament was built by the Indian Embassy.

It was inaugurated by prime minister Narendra Modi.

The rocket attack took place when security officials were entering building to brief MPs. No casualties habe been reported as yet. The Indian Afghan Envoy has said that Indians in the building are safe.

The rocket caused a hole in the stricken building and smashed windowpanes of the building, a security source said.

Taliban militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
