Who Was Matthew Livelsberger?

Matthew Livelsberger was a Colorado resident and an active-duty Special Forces operations sergeant in the U.S. Army. He had been stationed in Germany and was reportedly in the U.S. on leave when the incident occurred. Livelsberger had spent time at the renowned Fort Bragg base in North Carolina, a hub for Army special forces.

The Explosion Outside Trump International Hotel

The explosion occurred when the Tesla Cybertruck, which Livelsberger had rented from Turo, a car-sharing app, exploded outside the Las Vegas hotel owned by President-elect Donald Trump. The explosion was reportedly caused by firework-like mortars, camping fuel, and canisters stored in the vehicle. The incident has raised several questions, including whether it was an intentional act of terrorism.

FBI Investigates Possible Terrorism Links

The FBI has not ruled out a "terrorism angle" and is actively investigating the incident. The timing of the explosion is striking, as it followed just hours after another violent incident in New Orleans, where a U.S. Army veteran rammed a pickup truck into a crowd, killing 15 people. Authorities are exploring potential links between the two attacks, though no overlap between the individuals involved has been confirmed so far.

Unsettling Connections to Fort Bragg

Both Livelsberger and Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the Army veteran responsible for the New Orleans attack, reportedly had connections to Fort Bragg. Jabbar, who also used Turo to rent a vehicle, was shot by police after carrying out the attack. The FBI is currently investigating both incidents as possible acts of terror, although further details are still under investigation.

Investigation Continues

As the investigation into the Las Vegas explosion and the New Orleans truck attack continues, the FBI is focusing on potential terrorist links. The tragic events have shocked the nation, and authorities are working to uncover any connections between the attacks, including the shared use of the Turo app.
