The International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) on Monday issued a Red Corner Notice against Karanvir Singh, a member of Babbar Khalsa International, a banned terrorist group.
As per media reports quoting intelligence sources, Karanvir Singh was a member of the pro-Khalistani terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International and is reportedly hiding in Pakistan

According to the Interpol website, Singh is wanted for multiple charges including "Criminal conspiracy, murder, offenses related to Arms Act, offenses related to Explosive substances Act, raising funds for a terrorist act, conspiracy, being a member of terrorist gang or organization, Offences related to Arms Act, & offenses related to Explosive substances Act."
38-year-old Karanvir Singh hails from Punjab's Kapurthala district. He is 1.77 meters tall, weighs around 80 kg, and has black colored eyes and hair as per the description given by Interpol.

Furthermore, there is a National Bureau designated by Interpol in all its 195 member countries as "a single point of contact between law enforcement agencies of that member and INTERPOL. In this regard, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is officially designated as the National Central Bureau of India entrusted with the responsibility to publish, maintain and update the Red Corner Notices against fugitives/offenders as requested by Law enforcement agencies of India from time to time."
Interpol had earlier issued a Red Corner Notice against gangster Himanshu alias Bhau to all member countries. He is believed to be living abroad. News reports quoting Haryana Police spokesman say that Rohtak police succeeded in getting a Red Corner Notice issued against a most wanted person who is believed to have fled abroad.
This Red Corner Notice against a wanted member of a pro-Khalistani banned organization comes at a time when India and Canada are undergoing a diplomatic spat because of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's claim of an Indian hand behind the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Sikh separatist leader in Canada.
