Punched Me In Face...: Elon Musk Appears With Bruise Near Right Eye; Know What Happened
Tesla CEO Elon Musk was in headlines after he appeared with a bruise under his right eye. His photo went viral in no time and people on social media started asking what exactly happened to him and how he got injured.
Elon Musk was standing with US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, when people noticed the mark and expressed concern for him. Musk humorously attempted to deflect inquiries about the bruise, joking, "I wasn't anywhere near France."
His attire for the day, an all-black ensemble topped with a T-shirt labeled "The Dogefather," subtly nodded to his internet persona.
Delving into the cause of his injury, Musk revealed that the bruise was the result of playful roughhousing with his five-year-old son. He recounted telling his son, "Go ahead, punch me in the face," to which his son complied, landing a punch that left a mark. President Trump, seizing the moment for a light-hearted comment, inquired, "That was X that did that? ...X could do it. If you knew X," playing along with the narrative Musk provided.

Musk's tenure as a special government employee heading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was marked by ambitions to significantly reduce government spending. Initially setting a goal to cut expenditures by USD 2 trillion, Musk later revised this target to USD 1 trillion and eventually settled on USD 150 billion. Despite the adjustments, Musk's efforts fell short of achieving the savings realized during former President Bill Clinton's tenure, which amounted to approximately USD 240 billion by the end of his second term.
The Department of Government Efficiency, under Musk's leadership, faced challenges in integrating technology experts with individuals knowledgeable about government operations. This gap in understanding the bureaucratic system was identified as a significant hurdle in Musk's strategy. Despite these obstacles, Musk entertained the idea of extending his role within the administration "indefinitely" on a part-time basis, should President Trump request his continued assistance.
As Musk concluded his term at DOGE, speculation arose regarding the department's future without its high-profile leader. Musk himself suggested that DOGE could "gain momentum" going forward, though he did not elaborate on how this might be achieved. President Trump, acknowledging Musk's contributions, credited him with enacting "a colossal change in the old ways of doing business in Washington." He further noted that some of Musk's team would remain within the administration, hinting at a lasting impact from Musk's tenure.
