Protests Outside Indian High Commission In London By Khalistan Supporters
Khalistan supporters gathered outside the Indian High Commission in London, U.K. on Monday to stage a protest. The demonstrators, advocating for an independent Khalistan, were positioned on the opposite side of the High Commission and displayed anti-India signs while chanting slogans. British security forces were present during the protest to maintain order.
The primary objective of the demonstration was to draw attention to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's allegations concerning India's alleged involvement in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a wanted terrorist, in Canada.

India strongly refuted these accusations, describing them as "ridiculous" and "politically motivated." In retaliation for Canada's earlier expulsion of an Indian official in connection with the incident, India expelled a high-ranking Canadian diplomat.
In response to Prime Minister Trudeau's accusations, India has temporarily suspended its visa services in Canada. Given the strained relations between the two countries, India has issued a precautionary advisory to its citizens and travelers heading to Canada, urging them to exercise extreme caution. This advisory was prompted by an increase in alleged anti-India activities, politically sanctioned hate crimes, and criminal violence within Canada.
On 29th September, Indian High Commissioner to the UK, Vikram Dorwaiswami was obstructed by a group of alleged Khalistani British Sikh activists from entering a Gurudwara in Glasgow, Scotland. The alleged Khalistani activists made it clear that he was "not welcome."
In response to this incident, India officially raised the matter with Rishi Sunak led UK government. Even the Glasgow Gurudwara issued a statement on Sunday "strongly" condemning "such disorderly behaviour to disrupt the peaceful proceedings of a Sikh place of worship".
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had earlier emphasized that Canada has not shared any specific information to substantiate its allegations of Indian involvement. He expressed India's willingness to examine any information related to Canada's claims of the "potential" involvement of Indian agents in Nijjar's killing during an interaction with Indian journalists in Washington.
The protest in London highlights the ongoing tensions surrounding these allegations and their impact on diplomatic relations between India and Canada.
