Protests across world against USA's war with Syria (in pics)
Washington, Sept 4: President Barack Obama hinted at an imminent US military strike to punish Syria for its alleged use of banned chemical weapons.
Syria has become nation with largest number of displaced people
US Secretary of State John Kerry had accused the Syrian regime of killing 1,429 people, including 426 children, in a chemical weapons attack in national capital Damascus last week. He termed the alleged act as an "inconceivable attack" while US President Barack Obama said Washington was considering a limited response against the Syrian government. Syrian authorities, however, said the US was spreading lies and counter-alleged that the rebels had carried out the attack. They said the US intelligence constructed the story based on old inputs given by terrorists.
Since then, panic has spread into people living in and out of Syria. This civil war in Syria has forced over 2 million people out of the country and over 4 million others are displaced within its borders, making Syrians the nation with the largest number of people torn from their homes, U.N. officials said Tuesday.
There have been several protests and demonstrations telling US to not attack Syria. OneIndia News brings you the pictures showing the demonstrations being staged to protest war against Syria.
