A video released by the Ohio Police shows a cop shooting the black pregnant woman after she refuses to come out of the car. According to some media reports, the cop suspected her of theft and asked her to come out of the car for interrogation.

The Blendon Township Police Department released a bodycam video that shows the woman is seated in her black sedan while an officer repeatedly insister her to get out of the car. However she denies to do step out. Later the cop says, "They said you stole stuff, do not leave to which Ms Young replies, I didn't do s***, the other girls was taking (stuff)".

Later, one of the officers stops the car, pulls his gun and threatens her to come out of the car. He screams, "Get out of the f****** car!" But the 21-year-old starts driving and the officer fired a shot. The car then moves towards the parking lot before crashing into the brick wall of a grocery store.

The police officers run behind the car. While one officer places a gun toward her driver's side window, the other officer fails to unlock the door. He then breaks the glass window to gain access to Young, who slumped over the car's centre console.

According to the police officers, they tried to save Young but couldn't. She was supposed to deliver the child in November.

Meanwhile, Young's family alleged the police officers of misusing power and authority and demanded for a strict action against the officers. "Having viewed the footage in its entirety, it is undeniable that Ta'Kiya's death was not only avoidable, but also a gross misuse of power and authority."

Currently, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations is investigating the incident and the officers have been sent on paid administrative leave.
