PM Narendra Modi speaks at Madison Square (in Pics)

New York, Sept 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the Non-Resident Indians (NRI) for their support during his speech at Madison Square Garden here on Sunday.

Dressed in a yellow kurta and peach waistcoat, the Indian prime minister didn't make it look like he was undergoing fasting for the Navratri festival and promised a number of measures for the NRIs, including lifelong visas and freedom from periodic reporting to police.

Modi addressed the iconic Manhattan venue where supporters from 49 out of 50 states of the United States assembled to lend him an ear.

Modi, who came to power after getting a massive majority in the general election held in April-May this year, laid his visions, plans and goals for India.
