PM Modi To Be Honoured By Nigeria With Country's Second-Highest National Award
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently on a three-nation visit, is set to be awarded Nigeria's second-highest national honour, "The Grand Commander of The Order of the Niger" (GCON).
Queen Elizabeth is the only foreign dignitary to have previously received this award, in 1969.

This will be the 17th international honour presented to PM Modi by a foreign country.
Arriving in Nigeria on Sunday, PM Modi was warmly welcomed by the Indian diaspora. He is scheduled to continue his tour with visits to Brazil and Guyana as part of his five-day trip.
Recently, Dominica announced it will confer its highest national honour on PM Modi in recognition of his contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic and his efforts to strengthen ties between the two nations.
Dominica's President, Sylvanie Burton, will present the honour during the India-CARICOM Summit in Guyana from November 19 to 21.
