PM Modi Sends Eid-al-Adha Wishes To Kuwaiti Leaders
On the occasion of the Eid al-Adha festival, wishes were extended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Kuwait Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, and Kuwait Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The values of sacrifice, compassion, and brotherhood, embodied by Eid al-Adha, were emphasized by PM Modi in his message.

It was noted that Eid al-Adha is considered an integral part of India's multicultural heritage and is celebrated by millions of Indian citizens of the Islamic faith. The Indian Embassy in Kuwait stated, "In his message, the values of sacrifice, compassion, and brotherhood, embodied by this festival, were emphasized by the Prime Minister, which is essential in building a peaceful and inclusive world," as reported by ANI.
"It was highlighted by the Prime Minister that the festival is an integral part of India's multicultural heritage and is celebrated by millions of Indian citizens of the Islamic faith, and the festival is celebrated, as part of India's multi-cultural heritage, across the length and breadth of India with fervour and gaiety," it was added.
Best wishes were extended by PM Modi to Kuwait's Amir, Crown Prince, and PM for their good health and well-being. In a post on X, PM Modi stated, "Hon'ble Prime Minister @narendramodi extended festive greetings to H.H the Amir, H.H the Crown Prince and H.H the Prime Minister of Kuwait on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha."
Eid al-Adha celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic calendar, marks the culmination of the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. It is a time of joy and peace, where families come together, reconcile differences, and forge meaningful connections, commemorating Prophet Abraham's unwavering devotion to God.
Devotees thronged mosques and religious sites nationwide on Monday to offer Namaz in observance of the holy Eid al-Adha festival. In March, Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister Imad Mohammad Abdulaziz Al-Ateeqi was briefed by Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Adarsh Swaika on robust bilateral cooperation, particularly in the hydrocarbons sector. Discussions included potential collaboration in upstream and downstream segments, as reported by ANI.
The Indian Embassy in Kuwait's tweet highlighted Ambassador Adarsh Swaika's meeting with Deputy PM and Oil Minister Al-Ateeqi, underscoring strong bilateral ties anchored in historical friendship and enduring mutual trust, as per ANI reports. India and Kuwait commemorated the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relations during the 2021-22 period.
