PM Modi, On First-Ever Kuwait Visit, Receives Country’s Highest Honour - 'Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honoured with Kuwait's highest award, "The Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer," on Sunday, making it the 20th international accolade he has received from a foreign nation.
"The Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer" is a prestigious knighthood in Kuwait, typically awarded to heads of state, foreign sovereigns, and members of royal families as a gesture of friendship.

Previous recipients of this award include global leaders such as Bill Clinton, Prince Charles, and George Bush.
During his state visit to Kuwait, the prime minister was welcomed with a ceremonial reception and a guard of honour at the Bayan Palace. The Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, was present for the ceremony.
The Ministry of External Affairs shared details of the visit on X, saying: "A special welcome to a historic visit! PM @narendramodi arrives at the Bayan Palace in Kuwait to a ceremonial welcome and Guard of Honour. Warmly received by HH Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, PM of Kuwait. Extensive talks with HH the Amir, Crown Prince and PM of Kuwait lie ahead."
PM Modi is in Kuwait for a two-day visit, invited by Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. This marks the first official visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in 43 years.
Ahead of his address at the 'Hala Modi' event at the Shaikh Saad Al Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex, the Indian community in Kuwait expressed great enthusiasm.
On Saturday, he visited the Gulf Spic employees' camp, where he met Indian workers and acknowledged their significant contributions to Kuwait's development.
