PM Modi In US: Who All Will PM Meet Besides The Bidens?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi left India today for his five-day US visit on special invitation from President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden for a state visit.

The prime minister is expected to land at the Andrews Air Force Base in Washington at 1.30 am Indian Standard Time on June 21, where he will be welcomed by a group of Indian American.

During his visit to New York, USA, PM Modi will meet around 24 people, including Nobel laureates, economists, artists, scientists, scholars, entrepreneurs, academicians, health sector experts, and more.

The Prime Minister's talks with these leaders will focus on understanding the developments in the US and exploring possible collaborations.

Some of the personalities he would be meeting include:

Elon Musk: Elon Musk is a South African-born American industrial engineer, entrepreneur, who co-founded Paypal and founded aerospace transportation services company SpaceX.

He is also the founder, CEO and chief engineer of SpaceX; angel investor, CEO and product architect of Tesla, Inc.; owner, CTO and chairman of Twitter; founder of the Boring Company and X Corp.; co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI; and president of the philanthropic Musk Foundation.

PM Modi earlier met Musk in 2015 during a visit to Tesla Motors factory in California. This is also prime minister's first meet with Musk after his Twitter takeover.

Neil deGrasse Tyson: He is an American astrophysicist, author, and science communicator.

Paul Romer: He is an economist and policy entrepreneur, a co-recipient of the 2018 Nobel Prize in Economics Sciences and a University Professor in Economics at NYU.

Nassim Nicholas Taleb: he is a Lebanese-American essayist, mathematical statistician, former options trader, risk analyst, and aphorist whose work concerns problems of randomness, probability, and uncertainty.

Ray Dalio: He is best known as the founder of Bridgewater Associates, which is the world's largest hedge fund.

Falu Shah: She is a singer and songwriter residing in New York. She is someone whose work combines ancient traditional Indian melodies with current western sounds. Falu has won the Grammy for Best Children's Album in 2022 for her album "A Colourful World".

She has worked and cooperated with a diverse range of musicians throughout her blossoming US-based career, including the likes of AR Rahman ('Slumdog Millionaire'), Yo-Yo Ma ('The Silk Road Project'), Philip Glass, Wyclef Jean, her master Ustad Sultan Khan, Blues Traveler, Ricky Martin, Bernie Worrell ('Parliament Funkadelic'), and many more.

Jeff Smith: He is an American cartoonist. He is best known as the creator of the self-published comic book series Bone.

Michael Froman: He is an American lawyer who served as the U.S. Trade Representative from 2013 to 2017.

Daniel Russel: He is an American diplomat who served as the Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs from 2013 to 2017.

Jeff Smith: He is a research fellow in Heritage's Asian Studies Center, focusing on South Asia.

Elbridge Colby: He is co-founder and principal of The Marathon Initiative, a policy initiative focused on developing strategies to prepare the United States for an era of sustained great power competition.

Dr Peter Agre: He is an American physician, Nobel Laureate, and molecular biologist, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and director of the Johns Hopkins Malaria Research Institute.

Dr Stephen Klasko: He is an author and leader of healthcare reform. In 2017, he was named to Modern Healthcare's Top 100 Most Influential Individuals.

Chandrika Tandon: She is a business leader, Grammy-nominated artist, and humanitarian.
