This summit marks an important step in strengthening the diplomatic and strategic ties between India, the US, Japan, and Australia, with the Indo-Pacific region being a major focal point.

In a tweet prior to his departure, PM Modi expressed his enthusiasm for the summit: "I look forward to joining my colleagues President Biden, Prime Minister Albanese, and Prime Minister Kishida for the Quad Summit. The forum has emerged as a key group of like-minded countries to work for peace, progress, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region. My meeting with President Biden will allow us to review and identify new pathways to further deepen the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership for the benefit of our people and the global good."

The Quad, or Quadrilateral Security Dialogue, has evolved into a critical alliance of democracies focused on addressing various regional and global challenges.

Key issues expected to dominate discussions at this summit include the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, maritime security, emerging technologies, and a new, ambitious initiative to fight cancer.

Additionally, the countries are likely to review developments in the Indo-Pacific region, particularly with respect to China's growing influence and military activities. Notably, India will host the next Quad Summit, underlining its increasing role in regional geopolitics.

Besides participating in the summit, PM Modi will also hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders, where they will discuss mutual interests and areas for further cooperation.

The visit is expected to deepen the India-U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, which has been growing steadily in recent years.

During his stay in New York, the Prime Minister will address the Indian community on September 22, fostering stronger ties with the diaspora, which remains an important pillar of India-US relations.

He also plans to engage with CEOs of prominent US-based businesses to explore collaborations in cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology. These sectors have become crucial for India's technological advancements and economic growth.

In anticipation of his interactions with the Indian diaspora and American business leaders, PM Modi shared his excitement, stating: "I am eagerly looking forward to engaging with the Indian diaspora and important American business leaders, who are the key stakeholders and provide vibrancy to the unique partnership between the largest and the oldest democracies of the world."

On September 23, PM Modi will take the stage at the 'Summit of the Future' at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, an event that will draw participation from numerous world leaders.

His address is expected to cover a broad spectrum of global issues, including international cooperation, peace, and the advancement of technology for the betterment of humanity.
