Philadelphia Phillies Mascots Mock Viral Coldplay Kiss Cam Featuring CEO Andy Byron
In a cheeky move that quickly went viral, Major League Baseball team Philadelphia Phillies used their Friday night game against the Los Angeles Angels to poke fun at Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his colleague Kristin Cabot, following their now-infamous appearance on a Coldplay concert's "kiss cam."
During the mid-game break at Citizens Bank Park, the Phillies aired a special "Coldplay Kiss Cam" segment on the outfield video board, with the band's hit song "Clocks" playing in the background. After cycling through various couples, the camera landed on the Phillie Phanatic mascot and a second mascot donning a blonde wig. The duo hilariously mimicked Byron and Cabot's panicked reactions that were first caught at Coldplay's Boston concert earlier in the week.

The viral video of Byron-who quickly turned away and slumped in his seat-and Cabot-who tried to shield her face-sparked widespread speculation and memes online. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin even chimed in during the concert, joking, "Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy," before adding, "Holy sh-t. I hope we didn't do something bad."
Social media users reacted strongly to the Phillies' parody, with one writing, "Imagine having the entire world making fun of you because you're a cheating scumbag," and another adding, "Lives have been ruined, and it's sad."
According to LinkedIn, Andy Byron previously held senior roles at Lacework, Cybereason, and BladeLogic, among others. He is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, and they live in New York with their two children. Kristin Cabot serves as Chief People Officer at Astronomer, the company behind the data platform Astro.
