Passengers Shout Inside Smoke-Filled Cabin As Japan Airlines Catches Fire
A Japan Airlines (JAL) plane caught fire after colliding with a Japan Coast Guard aircraft on the runway at Tokyo's Haneda Airport, resulting in a tragic incident. Tragically, five crew members were discovered deceased on the Coast Guard plane, while the 379 passengers aboard the JAL flight were successfully evacuated without harm.

The distressing event was captured on cameras, revealing the aircraft ablaze while maneuvering along the tarmac. Footage displayed vivid orange flames emerging from the plane's windows as rescue teams diligently sprayed the aircraft. Scenes from within the smoke-filled cabin depicted alarmed passengers desperately covering their mouths with clothing and calling out for assistance.
The flight had previously arrived from Japan's Shin-Chitose Airport situated on the northern island of Hokkaido.
Emergency response teams swiftly reacted to the crisis, engaging in a concerted effort to douse the flames. A fleet of over 70 fire engines was mobilized to bring the situation under control. Consequently, the airport reportedly ceased operations, closing its runways to incoming and outgoing traffic.
