Pakistan Suicide Bomb Attack: Targets Japanese Nationals In Karachi
In Karachi, Pakistan, a suicide blast attack targeted a vehicle carrying foreign nationals, resulting in at least two fatalities, on Friday, according to a report by broadcaster Geo News.
The report indicates that the attack claimed the lives of two individuals, including the suicide bomber and two terrorists who were reportedly killed by police in retaliatory gunfire. Fortunately, all five foreigners traveling in the vehicle survived the attack.

Police spokesperson Abrar Hussain Baloch confirmed that the survivors, identified as Japanese nationals, have been relocated to a secure location under police custody. No militant group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
The Karachi Police have officially characterized the incident as a suicide attack and noted that another vehicle was damaged in the explosion, as reported by Hindustan Times.
Initial police reports revealed that the second terrorist killed in the encounter was also equipped with a suicide jacket and had a grenade attached to their body. A bomb disposal team has been dispatched to the attack site, as per police sources.
Law enforcement officials disclosed that the foreign nationals targeted in the attack were employed in the export processing zone.
Jinnah Hospital officials reported that three injured individuals were transported to the medical facility, including two security guards named Noor Muhammad and Langar Khan, as well as a passerby named Salman Rafiq. Among the injured, two were listed in critical condition.
Thankfully, no foreign nationals sustained injuries in the attack, as confirmed by hospital authorities, as per Hindustan Times report.
A security guard who witnessed the incident recounted that following the explosion, a terrorist began firing at the vehicle, according to Geo News.
Meanwhile, Sindh governor Kamran Tessori condemned the suicide attack in Landhi and directed the CCPO and IG to submit a detailed report on the incident. The governor emphasized a zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism in the city.
