Pakistan PM, President Mention "Kashmir" In Eid Greetings

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Dr Arif Alvi have taken a swipe at India and Israel while sending their Eid greetings to the Muslims across the globe.

In a post shared on X, Sharif said, On the joyous occasion of Eid ul-Fitr, I would like to express my felicitations to my fellow countrymen residing both at home and abroad, as well as to the entire Muslim community. As we revel in the festivities of this auspicious event, let us not forget the importance of spreading joy and sharing our blessings with those who are less fortunate."

He also asked the Muslims from across the globe to remember "Palestinian and Kashmiri brothers and sisters who are facing the worst kind of atrocities of the occupation forces and they will be constrained to enjoy the joys of Eid." He further said, "We all pray to Almighty Allah to ease their difficulties."

"May this blessed time bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to the people of our nation, the region, and the world,' he concluded.

Pakistan's President Dr Alvie asked Muslims across the globe to pray to Allah for mercy from Allah and "especially for Muslims in misery, those who lost their lives because of indiscriminate killings in Ghaza, Palestine, Kashmir، the Middle East & Africa."

He added, "For the wrongly imprisoned, those who have sacrificed and have withstood brutalities & torture in their struggle for Pakistan and its democracy; For those deprived of their basic human rights, for missing persons & the hungry; For the elite, educated & wealthy (وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ) share your 'Amanat' & be afraid of Allah's displeasure, return what you can in this life lest your good deeds remain short of the threshold on the day of judgment."

The ties between India and Pakistan nosedived after India abrogated Article 370 of the Constitution, revoking the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcating the State into two Union Territories on August 5, 2019.

Pakistan reacted strongly to India's decision, downgrading diplomatic relations and expelling the Indian envoy. India has reiterated to Pakistan that Jammu and Kashmir is an inseparable part of the nation.

Pakistan has also been critical of Israel for its attack on the Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
