Pakistan Bans Indian Songs On FM Radio Stations Following Pahalgam Attack

The Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) has prohibited Indian music from being played on FM radio stations throughout Pakistan in the wake of the devastating Pahalgam terror incident on April 22, which claimed 26 lives. Following the incident, which targeted tourists in Jammu and Kashmir, tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated, leading to the May 1 decision. This action is part of India's retaliatory campaign against Pakistan for allegedly aiding cross-border terrorism.

16 Pakistani YouTube channels were banned by India earlier this week for airing offensive and divisive material. In the wake of the Pahalgam incident, these networks were charged with escalating communal tensions, spreading anti-Indian narratives, and spreading false information about India's Army and security personnel. Following suggestions from India's Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), these channels were banned.

As part of its actions, the Indian government also revoked all short-term visas and suspended visas for citizens of Pakistan. The current measures demonstrate India's unwavering commitment to fighting terrorism and making sure that heinous crimes that have severely shook the nation are not tolerated. In order to hold Pakistan responsible for aiding terrorism and protecting its interests, India is working to isolate it on the global scene.
