Pak condemns detention of Kashmiri right activist
Islamabad, Sep 27: Pakistan today condemned the "illegal detention" of Kashmiri human rights activist Khurram Parvez by India and sought his immediate release.
"Pakistan strongly condemns the continued illegal detention of well-known Kashmiri human rights activist, Khurram Parvez who was arrested on September 16," the Foreign Office said in a statement here.

It said that human rights organizations like Amnesty International have urged India for his immediate and unconditional release.
"We urge India to release him immediately and unconditionally," the statement said.
Parvez is the Chairperson of Asian Federation Against Involuntary Disappearances (AFAD) and Programme Coordinator of Jammu & Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society (JKCCS).
