Paedophilia or Love: Old man 'freed' after having sex with minor girl

Rome, Dec 19: In what can be termed as a clear case of 'paedophilia', an Italian court has quashed the case by tagging it as that of '

' between an 11-year-old girl and a 60-year-old man!

According to a report, an Italian high court dismissed the sentence handed down to the accused on the grounds that there was "a real romantic relationship" involved between the "accused" and the "victim".

60-year-old Pietro Lamberti was caught in bed with the 11-year-old girl.

In June 2011, 60-year-old Pietro Lamberti, who works for the social services department of the southern city of Catanzaro, Calabria, was caught in bed with the victim in a 'naked' condition in his home at seaside villa, during a police raid.

Earlier, the court had sentenced him to five years in prison after he was convicted of sexual violence against a minor but later reversed its original verdict as it came to light that the minor victim was in 'love with him and had pursued him'.
