Orlando shooting: Obama calls it act of terror; stands by LGBT community

Washington, June 13: US President Barack Obama on Sunday termed the mass shooting at an LGBT nightclub in Orlando, Florida, as an "act of terror" in his address to the nation from the White House. [50 killed in gay nightclub shooting in Florida]

"We know enough to say this was an act of terror and an act of hate," he said, adding: "The FBI is appropriately investigating this as an act of terror. We will go wherever the facts lead us ...
