On Camera, Pakistan Leader Engage In Violent Fight During TV Show

A lawyer from Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a member of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) came to blows during a heated altercation on a live talk show aired on a private news channel.

The clip of the two slapping and fighting has now gone viral. It occurred on the popular Pakistani talk show 'Kal Tak', hosted by Javed Chaudhary. The two leaders are identified as Sher Afzal Marwat, a lawyer of PTI, and Afnan Ullah, a Senator from Nawaz Sharif's Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

During a debate, the situation went out of control after both started accusing each other's leaders as "boot chaat" (shoe licker) - a term usually used in Pakistan to refer someone as a tout of military, according to a report in Daily Pakistan.

Then the two leaders dragged each others' families. Then suddenly Marwat got up from his seat and beat up Afnan, who responded in a similar way.

However, the crew from the TV channel intervened to end the fight. Later, senator Afnan, on X, said, "Marwat attacked me in the talk show yesterday, I believe in non-violence but I am Nawaz Sharif's soldier. The trick that has been put on Marwat is an important lesson for all PTI and especially for Imran Khan, they will not be able to see the shape, they will have to wear big black glasses,"

On the other hand, the PTI leader has slammed Express TV.

He said, "If Express TV and Javed Chaudhry want a real public verdict on the issue of the fight that took place yesterday in their TV show, justice demands that nothing be hidden from the public. Express TV has a five- or six-minute-long recording of the discussion that led to the fight. Why is that five or six-minute recording not being shared with the public? Any answer or justification? The whole truth came to public knowledge. If Javed Chaudhry kindly shares the entire 6.30-minute clip, everything will be clear, including the answer as to why I slapped him."

The video of their fight has gone viral on social media sites.
