Ohio: 8 members of family killed

Ohio, April 23: Eight members of a family were found dead in a rural community in southern Ohio on Friday. Authorities said the deceased were shot in the head in an "execution style".Officials were searching for the killer(s), said Pike County Sheriff Charles Reader, a CNN report said.

He said it was not yet known whether any other members of the community are under threat.

Investigating officers found seven adults and a teenager dead at four crime spots. Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine informed, the report added. The dead included a mother with her four-year-old child lying by her side.

The child, along with a six-month and three-year-old, survived the homicide, it was said.
