Obama to attend Mandela's funeral ceremony
The ceremony will be held in December 14. Obama on Thursday said in an official release that he is among the millions influenced by Nelson Mandela, the anti-apartheid icon.
"He no longer belongs to us. He belongs to the ages," Obama said.
"I am one of the countless millions who drew inspiration from Nelson Mandela's life," he continued. "And like so many around the globe, I cannot fully imagine my own life without the example that Nelson Mandela set."
95-year-old Mandela died on late Thursday.
