Washington, May 20: In USA, India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Asoke Mukerji attended the IBSA (India-Brazil-South Africa) Fund special event at the UN in New York.

In China, Russia's President Vladimir Putin and China's President Xi Jinping reviewed an honor guard during a welcoming ceremony at the Xijiao State Guesthouse ahead of the fourth Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) summit, in Shanghai.

In Nigeria, a car bomb exploded in the Christian neighborhood of Nigeria's second most populous and mainly Muslim city of Kano Sunday night, killing at least four people, police said. Five people were wounded. Police Superintendent Aderenle Shinaba said the car exploded Sunday night before the bomber reached his target of the busy restaurants and bars lining Gold Coast Street, indicating the casualties could have been much higher.

In London, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II visited the Thai exhibit during a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show.
