Nepal President arrives in Delhi on five-day visit to India

The bilateral ties between the two countries faced turbulence last year due to the Madhesi agitation and the subsequent blockade of border trading points

Nepal President Bidya Devi Bhandari, who is on her first foreign visit, arrived in Delhi on a five-day visit to India.

Bhandari will be given a ceremonial reception and accorded a guard of honour at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday.

"Neighbourhood first," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay tweeted while announcing the President's arrival.
