NASA Astronaut Shares Jaw-Dropping Milky Way Photo From Space!

Looking up at the night sky is always a magical experience, but witnessing it from space takes it to a whole new level. NASA astronaut Don Pettit recently captured a stunning image of the Milky Way from the International Space Station (ISS), offering a rare and awe-inspiring glimpse of our galaxy from orbit.

A Spectacular View from Space
Using a camera with advanced low-light and long-exposure settings, Pettit snapped the breathtaking shot on January 29, 2025. The image beautifully showcases the Milky Way glowing just beyond Earth's horizon moments before sunrise. At the time, the ISS was soaring 265 miles above the Pacific Ocean, near the coast of Chile.
