“My Ferrari Burned Just An Hour After Delivery”: Japan’s Music Producer 10 Years Of Saving, Gone In Flames
In a heartbreaking turn of events, a Ferrari 458 Spider caught fire and was completely destroyed on the Shuto Expressway in Tokyo, Japan. The luxury sports car, reportedly worth around Rs 2.5 crore, had just been delivered to its new owner, who had waited ten years to buy his dream vehicle.
The owner, a 33-year-old music producer known as Honkon, had saved for a decade before finally receiving the Ferrari on April 16. Sadly, within just an hour of owning it, the car caught fire while he was driving.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. Honkon noticed smoke coming from the vehicle and stopped the car immediately. He quickly got out before the flames took over. The fire was extinguished within 20 minutes, but by then, the entire car had burned down, except for a small part of the front bumper. There was no accident or crash before the fire started.
The cause of the fire is still not clear. The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating to determine what went wrong.

Honkon expressed his heartbreak on social media, writing that his lifelong dream had turned into a nightmare in minutes. "My Ferrari burned to ashes an hour after delivery. I bet I'm the only one in all of Japan to experience this kind of trouble," he posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
He also told The Sun that he feared the car might explode. "I was really scared," he said, recalling the incident.
People across social media reacted with sympathy and shock. While many were thankful that Honkon was unharmed, others joked light-heartedly about avoiding solo drives in such expensive cars.
For Honkon, this tragic event was not just the loss of a car, but the loss of a dream he had nurtured for ten years.
