Modi Fans Unite Globally: 'Havan' Ceremony In US, Car Rally In UK As Lok Sabha Election 2024 Nears
The special 'havan' ceremony at a Hindu temple in San Francisco, US, organized by Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP), saw participation from hundreds of Indian-American technology professionals from Silicon Valley, who prayed for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comprehensive victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
The ritual, aimed at the re-election of Prime Minister Modi, was attended by a large number of individuals, with OFBJP highlighting it as a collective invocation for the fulfillment of the wishes of the majority of Indians and NRIs.

'Havan' ceremony in US
The community's gathering reflected deep-rooted faith in the democratic process and aspirations for continued progress and governance reforms in India, echoing Prime Minister Modi's target for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to secure more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections and 370-plus for the BJP alone, as stated by OFBJP.
OFBJP UK organizes car rally in London
Earlier this week, a car rally was organized in London by the UK chapter of the OFBJP to showcase the British-Indian community's support for PM Modi and the BJP in the upcoming general elections. The rally, dedicated to demonstrating backing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP in India's forthcoming elections, was commenced at Kutch Leva Patidar Samaj Complex in Northolt and concluded at the Swaminarayan BAPS Temple in Wembley.
Member of Parliament from Harrow and Padma Shri winner Bob Blackman remarked that Indian elections are the biggest exercise of democracy in the world, emphasizing the strengthening friendship between India and the UK since the BJP came to power.
He noted that efforts are being made to negotiate a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the UK and India, and mentioned the signing of a friendship agreement with India on Cooperation in Defence and security leading to the FTA. The UK's economy was described as sluggish but still growing, with the aim to ensure the re-election of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister and the continuity of BJP governance emphasized.

Dates for Lok Sabha and State Assembly Elections Announced by EC
The dates for Lok Sabha and four state Assembly elections were announced last week by the Election Commission of India. The general election for 543 Lok Sabha seats will be held in seven phases from April 19, as announced by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar on Saturday.
The counting of votes will take place on June 4, with results being declared on the same day. Approximately 97 crore voters will be eligible to cast their votes for 543 Lok Sabha constituencies across the country. With the announcement of dates, the moral code of conduct is immediately enforced.
