Microsoft Outage Hits Airline Services Globally; Check-In Systems Down At Delhi, Mumbai Airports
Microsoft's cloud service outage has led to widespread disruptions worldwide, including several flight cancellations and delays, with major impacts reported from Delhi and Mumbai airports.
Akasa Airlines informed, "Due to infrastructure issues with our service provider, some of our online services, including booking, check-in and manage booking services will be temporarily unavailable."

The airline advised passengers to arrive early for manual check-in and boarding, stating, "We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused and want to assure you that our teams are working with our service provider to resolve the same at the earliest."
On the other hand, Spicejet acknowledged the snag, noting, "We're currently facing a technical issue in providing updates on flight disruptions. Our team is actively working to resolve this issue. We regret any inconvenience caused and will update you once the issue is resolved. Thank you for your patience and co-operation."
Overseas impact
In the United States, Frontier Airlines experienced a major impact, grounding flights for over two hours before resuming operations.
The outage also affected reservations and bookings. Allegiant Air and Sun Country Airlines Holdings Inc reported similar issues, with Allegiant Air experiencing problems with reservations and Sun Country reporting a "global outage."
In Australia, the outage caused disruptions across various sectors, including banks, telecoms, media outlets, and airlines.
The National Cyber Security Coordinator described it as a "large-scale technical outage affecting a number of companies and services across Australia this afternoon."
Microsoft stated that the outage began around 6 pm ET, affecting multiple Azure services in the Central US region.
