MH370: Missing plane scratched co-pilot's hopes of marriage

Kuala Lumpur, March 17: Perhaps this is what you call destiny. In a recent report by

, it is said that the 27-year old Fariq Abdul Hamid, the co-pilot of the ill-fated MH 370 had plans of getting married to his long time girlfriend-26 year old Capt Nadira Ramli, a fellow pilot of AirAsia.

The duo have known each other for nine years when Fariq had started his career with MAS in 2007. In fact, they both studied at the flying school in Langkawi.

However, the missing pilot's cousin stated that he never went to school in Kelantan as he was brought up in Kuala Lumpur.

Nadira, the daughter of a senior Malaysian Airline official, is said to have been granted a month's leave to be with Fariq's mother. She is now in an undisclosed location with her.
