Men In Green 'Never' Lose On Friday: Pakistani Actress Trolled For Predicting Win As They Lose To Australia

Seher Shinwari, a prominent actress in Pakistan, has become a frequent target of online trolls due to her continuous optimistic claims and promises regarding Babar Azam and his team's success in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, promises that consistently remain unfulfilled. Her most recent blunder involved pledging to go on a dinner date with a Bengali boy if Bangladesh managed to defeat India. Unsurprisingly, she faced relentless taunting after India comfortably defeated Bangladesh.

As the Pakistani team prepared to take on Australia on October 20, Shinwari made yet another audacious statement, boldly declaring, "Pakistan never loses a match on Friday. Mark my tweet." However, her prediction boomeranged, and the internet wasted no time in poking fun at her as the Men in Green failed to conquer Australia on a Friday.

In an added layer of drama, Shinwari began openly criticizing the team's performance at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, expressing her disapproval by giving them a thumbs-down on the micro-blogging platform 'X.' Screenshots of her conflicting posts quickly circulated online, with people gleefully joining in on the trolling.

One Indian user humorously remarked, "Rula diya na bechari ko," (You made her cry, poor thing) along with a laughing emoji. Another sarcastically asked, "Please let us know if we can demark this tweet now." A third individual chimed in, saying, "Marked it, sister. Just came across your tweet and wanted to say what happened on the #AUSvsPAK match. Pakistan lost."

Regarding the match itself, Australia emerged victorious in a high-scoring contest in Bengaluru on Friday. David Warner's impressive 163 off 124 and Mitchell Marsh's quickfire 121 off 108 helped Australia post a formidable total of 367 for 9 in 50 overs after being asked to bat.

Despite Shaheen Afridi's five-wicket haul (5 for 54), the Pat Cummins-led side managed to set a challenging target. In reply, Pakistan was bowled out for 305, with Adam Zampa claiming 4 for 53. Although Imam-ul-Haq (70) and Abdullah Shafique (64) had a strong start with a 134-run opening partnership, Pakistan couldn't capitalize on the opportunity, marking their second consecutive defeat in the tournament.
