Massive Building Fire In Kuwait Kills Over 40, Many Indians Among Feared Dead

A severe fire in the southern Mangaf district of Kuwait has resulted in the deaths of at least 43 people, including five Indians.

The fire, which started early on Wednesday morning, rapidly consumed the building, leading to many people being trapped inside.

According to Major General Eid Rashed Hamad, the incident took place at around 6 am (local time).

"We always alert and warn against" cramming too many workers into housing accommodation, he said. However, he didn't elaborate much on the workers' type of employment or place of origin.
