India was characterized by the Malaysian PM as a significant nation, with discussions between the two countries being described as those between "true brothers" on all issues, whether sensitive or otherwise. This, Ibrahim noted, represents the true essence of friendship.

In the joint press statement, Malaysian Prime Minister Ibrahim remarked, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is my brother. Even when I was not the PM, he was very kind... We have agreed to enhance our comprehensive strategic partnership." He further elaborated on the discussion of various issues and noted that the partnership would be extended to explore additional areas, as reported by ANI.

Ibrahim expressed his belief that numerous areas remain unexplored and regretted the lack of progress in recent years. He acknowledged India as an important and historic nation with a rich culture and civilization. "There are many areas that we need to explore further," he stated, emphasizing that the previous years had not seen the anticipated progress in collaboration.

The Malaysian PM also mentioned that Malaysia had initiated several new programs and extended an invitation to Indian companies to collaborate in Malaysia. He said, "We hope that Indian companies will collaborate further with Malaysian companies in various fields, including energy transition, digitalization, and food security. We also emphasized the importance of leveraging our experience and expertise in the semiconductor sector, in which Malaysia is recognized as a hub in Southeast Asia."

Prime Minister Ibrahim arrived in India today for his first state visit as the Malaysian premier. He was warmly welcomed at the airport by Union Minister of State, V. Somanna, as per ANI reports. During his visit, Ibrahim paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by laying a wreath at Rajghat in Delhi and signing the visitor's book at the memorial
