Magnitude-6.8 quake hits Mexico

Mexico City, May 9: A strong earthquake, measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale hit Mexico on Thursday. There was no immediate report of any casualty or damage to property, Xinhua reported.

The quake jolted area near Tecpan de Galeana municipality in Guerrero state, about 300 km from capital city of Mexico City, the US Geological Survey said.
