Experiences were shared by numerous residents on Volcano Discovery, a platform that monitors seismic activity.
"It was quite a weak shake. It could be felt from the second story of my house, but it was a gentle rocking. No damage was caused, apparently," wrote a Jakarta resident.
A West Java resident wrote, "I was in bed when it started to shake and there was a sound like boulders rolling. We went outside for about 10 minutes."
"I wasn't sure if it was just the bass turned up super high, but it felt like the bed was moving 6 floors up and the curtains were swaying," wrote a resident of Yogyakarta.
As of now, there are no reports of injuries or damage.
