Liberal Democrat member criticised over Gaza comment

Liberal Democrat member David Ward tweeted-
The big question is - if I lived in #Gaza would I fire a rocket? - probably yes
— David Ward (@DavidWardMP) July 22, 2014 Soon after his tweet many tweeples criticized his statement and demanded his expulsion. Many on social media called on Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg to suspend Ward from Liberal Democrats.
Suspension isn't right for David Ward. He needs to be kicked out of the party tonight. Risks debasing Parliament by remaining. @nick_clegg

David Ward's tweet ("Would I fire a rocket? Probably yes.") is an insult, most of all, to those Palestinians who don't fire rockets.

I'm too exhausted for David Ward. I can't even be bothered to state the obvious - shameful if Lib Dems don't remove whip outright.
— Jay Stoll (@jaystoll) July 22, 2014 The party soon distanced itself from Ward's comments and issued a statement saying: "We utterly condemn David Ward's comment; they are not representative of the Liberal Democrats." The party takes this matter very seriously, it said.
This is however not the first time that Ward has made a comment of this nature. Earlier he was suspended from the junior party for making a comment about the Jewish state.
