Lady camouflages cry for help; calls 911 and 'orders' pizza

, Nov 3: In a bizarre but smart move, a lady in the United States camouflaged a call to 911 by pretending to order for a pizza. Unable to discuss her ordeal, the woman started narrating her story in codes, which was understood by the dispatcher thankfully.

What was thought of as a prank turned out to be a memorable call for help instead. The dispatcher too did not take the conversation lightly and analysed the situation very carefully. He later drafted the entire conversation and called it as one of the most memorable calls ever.

Here is the entire script:

"911, where is your emergency?"

"123 Main St."

"Ok, what's going on there?"

"I'd like to order a pizza for delivery." (oh great, another prank call).

"Ma'am, you've reached 911"

"Yeah, I know. Can I have a large with half pepperoni, half mushroom and peppers?"

"Ummm.... I'm sorry, you know you've called 911 right?"

"Yeah, do you know how long it will be?"

"Ok, Ma'am, is everything ok over there? do you have an emergency?"

"Yes, I do."

"..And you can't talk about it because there's someone in the room with you?" (moment of realization)

"Yes, that's correct. Do you know how long it will be?"

"I have an officer about a mile from your location. Are there any weapons in your house?"

"Nope."

"Can you stay on the phone with me?"

"Nope. See you soon, thanks"

The dispatcher double-checked the address given by the woman and saw that there were records of multiple violence from previous calls. Finally, the police arrived at the house and saw the lady in bad shape and took away the drunk boyfriend, who was charged with beating her.
